Changing  pages into pictures...

In the fall of 2005 Dean traveled back to the Sahara with a film crew from Wild Eyes Productions working for the History Channel. Their mission was to film an upcoming documentary of Captain Riley's story as depicted in the best-selling Skeletons on the Sahara. Not only did they do that, but Dean even made a new discovery about the Riley story while he was there. DVD copies of the two-hour special are available at Amazon.

Here's a few shots from the documentary.

The travelers are swallowed whole by the desert...

A shot that would have struck terror into Riley and his shipwrecked crew.

On the Rack Again: Dean endures the "pleasures" of camel travel once more.
